Running FX-8320 with no fan on cooler; only heat sink

I have just received a Cooler Master Hyper T4 CPU cooler. The way it is mounted in my case does not allow the fan to be attached to it because it blocks the hard drives' SATA and power ports. (There is not enough room/no other mounting areas for the hard drives) So my question is, could I run my FX-8320 CPU with only the heat sink on it? There is a front intake fan and two exhaust fans; one on the side panel and one in the back of the case. The case I have is a Rosewill Line-M.

Solution
It's not going to kill the CPU... Once max temp is reached which is 67C, itll just shut down. Very straightforward and simple.

Edit: Looking at the picture, is it not possible to mount it the other way? Should leave you enough room to attach the fan.

It is actually not possible to mount it the other way. That is the only way to mount it on an AM3+ setup according to Cooler Master and other sources I've found.

I maintain the same answer.
It will overheat in a short time.
Without direct air flow on the heat sink, that hot air will sit there and cause overheating issues.

oh. can't even rotate the mounting brackets?
have you considered aio coolers or a down-draft coler lile noctua NH L9i?

edit: after checking the case photos, one of the ways could be making the ODD external and moving the two HDDs in the top 5.25" bays, with adapters, if possible.

Yeah I kinda just had a "duh!" moment when I realized I could just put the fan on the other side, lol.

Edit: Oh, you meant rotating the cooler 90 degrees? Yeah, unfortunately you can only install it so that the fan on the heat sink is pushing/blowing air up/down (vertical). And I essentially fixed my problem by putting the fan on the other side of the heat sink and having it push against my HDDs' power and SATA cables. The "arm" you have to put on the cooler so it stays mounted on the motherboard is bending (because of the HDDs' cables), but it's a very slight bend, and I think it should be fine.

Also, since your "edit" reminded me that I could put the fan on the other side of the heat sink, I'll be selecting that as the solution.
