The R9 380 has been released for almost two weeks now but the Gigabyte G1 4GB version still isn't out yet

How long does it usually take for manufacturers to release all their cards?

Usually, they are just waiting for the media/review embargo to end. Sounds like the supply chain wasn't ready, in this case.

Is there any reason you want the 380? It's just a re-brand. I would say the extra $30-$40 for the 970 is completely worth it.

Well the 380 looks promising at 1080p despite being a rebrand. In Canada, the R9 380 4GB G1 Gaming is $279 whereas the GTX 970 is $400, which is out of my budget :O

Newegg had some XFX R9 380's listed on their eBay store but it looks like they pulled the listing before any sold. Weird.

In Canada, NCIX usually selling Clud 3D cards for pretty good prices if you want one. I also live in Canada and I only buy Clud 3D cards when it comes to AMD products.
