I am currently looking to build a mini itx sytem. I was thinking of going for a athlon 860k or a g3258. I also have a pentium g620 and all i need is the mobo and the ram. Will be using it with a 500w psu and a gtx 460. Got a ssd and a case too. Here are the 2 lists i made up. Looking for best value and something reliable. Will be overclocking the cpu.

Intel: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/nxvGhM

AMD: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/4CP8mG

Older intel: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/JsvJ23 (with pcie not the old pci version)

You can see quite a difference in price between the 2. Are the parts for the builds good enough for a mild oc? This pc will be used for light gaming, web content and using my elgato to record gameplay videos. I am upgrading from a q6600, 4gb of ram and its currently really slow and ram for ddr2 intel is expensive too. I would prefer to go with the g3258 build but will there be much more improvement with the amd one? Just trying to get the best deal. Or should i just use the g620 pentium i got now providing it would not be much slower than the 2 other builds?

I have a overclocked msi gtx 460. mainly playing csgo, gta 5 and maybe a couple other non demanding games. I could run all those games fine with my 2.4ghz q6600 and 4gb of ram. So some gaming. Would prefer 30fps medium settings with my overclocked gtx 460. Mainly just gaming if i am traveling as my main pc is way to big so if i where to use it for gaming i would add 8gb of ram too.

well GTAV won't load on the g3258, nor will The Witcher 3, or Batman Arkum Knight, or Dragon Age Inquisition, or Far Cry 4. Basically most of the new "AAA" titles no longer will even boot on a dual core.

your problem is that quad core AMD will BARELY be able to manage any of those titles anyway without a hefty overclock.
