After receiving my gpu, my pc wont boot after installing it. However if i remove it, it does boot. I heard it might have something to do with the wattage on my psu or the amps. Someone please help I'm clueless!

That's an R9 280 rather than a 280x in that review. But the pont remains, sometimes cards might pull more than expected. Since the RealHardtechX specifications are already fairly more than the OEM recommendations, if you have a unit that meets those you're probably alright even if you do pull a bit more than expected. Being underpowered by 50w below recommended though probably isn't the best idea, as you say. But that's during gaming and shouldn't be anywhere near those draws at boot.

Get a higher wattage and better quality PSU, I recommend this one over the one one darkbreeze suggested. Its modular for a few dollars more or same price depending on which retailer you buy from: http://goo.gl/hfCt8H. Good Luck.

It's the SAME wattage, and has the same OEM. IT's the exact same platform. It's the Seasonic 620w platform. Why would you pay more for the same thing. Plus, that's an older design. The ECO is a newer unit based on the same platform. I'd pay less and go with the ECO.

For the price of that HCG, and if modularity is desired, I'd go with this EVGA unit that scored silver in Jonnyguru testing, has 130w higher output and built by Super Flower based on the Golden Green platform.
