lately i been noticing after a hour or 2 of single player game play i would start to stutter and lag a lot (mostly when driving flying).
so i brang up task manager and i seen that my disk was at 100% then it dropped back down then i brang the game back up and started driving then tabbed out and seen that the graph again hit 100, my memory says there is 2gb free space and 6gb is in use, shouldnt i be fine then? but i have no idea why gta causes that.
gta also crashed a few times when my hdd reached 100%

heres some of my pc specs http://i.imgur.com/JutYBBM.png my gtx 960 is the 4gb vram version..
do you think its a ram leak issue? i use corsair vengeance pro ram sticks so i dont think that my ram would be the issue unless i need to upgrade the size but i heard 8gb is enough..

heres some pictures of gta v using 100% hdd

Hey there, Streetkilln.

Was it always like this? Do you have similar issues with other games?
Although it might be something connected to your GPU as @Rhezner mentioned, I'd recommend that you backup any important data which you might have on the drive, just to be on the safe side. This is a standard procedure when there's a potential issue with the HDD (if you don keep regular bakcups). After that go ahead and download an HDD diagnostic tool (preferably the HDD manufacturer's or a 3rd party diagnostic tool if the manufacturer doesn't offer one) so that you can test it and see if anythinig unusual pops-up (like errors or bad sectors).
You could also try switching the drive to a different SATA port and SATA cables to see if the issue persists.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how everything goes.

yes all my drivers are up to date, and i always update my graphics drivers, this only unfortunately happens in gta v,
this is my hard drive that i currently have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822149382

im goin to try out a program called hd tune

This is really odd, try disabling BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service) and Windows Search to see if the situation changes, although this might not have a great effect having in mind this happens only when you run GTA. I really can't think of what could be causing this, having in mind the drive is OK according to all the tests and that there are never similar spikes except when you play GTA 5.
Have you installed anything prior to this problem? Any software or OS updates etc.?
