Hello there,

I'm looking to build a pc for some of the upcoming games, and some that are already at place.
I'd like to play these games at a high lvl being it graphics and smoothness overall.
Also, apart from that I'd like to be able to run stuff like visual studio for work based stuff and streaming.

What do I need to achieve such a goal?
What am I expecting in terms of watts? What about memory? 16GB or 8GB?

If you could also explain why on the answer I'd really appreciate, looking to jump head on onto pc biulding, got to start somewhere.

As for the budget something around 1200 €.

Kind regards

this doesn't include an operating system and you can take out the ssd if you need that

the 4690k is plenty powerful for gaming and most things.

The gtx 980ti is the best consumer grade gpu next to the titan x which is overpriced.

ask any questions about the rest

P.S. i dont live in the UK so i am not familiar with its pricing.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/93rrQ7 also consider the e3 1231 v3 if you are not overclocking

£1184.17 is more than €1500...just to remind you.
I think if you really want to keep the budget to €1200, you can only go with GTX970.
if you do not OC, replace the i5 4690k with E3-1231V3 and the Z97 mobo with ASUS H97pro.
You can drop the SSD to reduce the price, if you want.
750W is only recommended for 2xGTX970 on SLI, if you plan to SLI GTX980Ti, take better 850W.

pcpartpicker gets the cheapest price for a part though, are you talking about tax?

I built my E3-1231V3+GTX970 rig in October last year.
I looked manually at amazon.de, alternate.de, atelco.de, arlt.com, computeruniverse.net, KMComputer.de, etc. I do not really trust price portals.
I ended up finding that the prices by mindfactory were the cheapest at that time and amazon to be among the highest priced.
Not only that, those internet stores have excellent customer service. Mindfactory even called me personally because one of the parts had availability problems and ask me if I was willing to accept similar item from another brand or prefer to wait 1 week more.
Those kind of customer service, you can not get from amazon.de.

So, take a look at this:
according to pcpartpicker amazon.de has the best price for Galax GTX970 EXOC €377,47
http://www.amazon.de/KFA%C2%B2-GeForce-Black-GDDR5-256-bit/dp/B00P42ZRMU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1435835801&sr=8-1&keywords=GTX970+EXOC
Now look at mindfactory.de , it costs only €331,40
http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/4096MB-KFA2-GeForce-GTX-970-EX-OC-Black-Edition-Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16--Retai_988938.html
So, price portals are not 100% good.

Regarding the online store and the debate between mindfactory and amazon, is it possible to buy parts from them getting the site in English? My German is not top in class put it that way :)

Rhezner, the €1187.29 would be getting all from Germany right? getting it to Portugal would cost me much?

Thank you for your replies!

how about from spain?

Solution
hmmm...you can order in English from them.
Mimdfactory.de, alternate.de and atelco.de are serving in English too.
They ship usually to almost anywhere within EU. The delivery cost will be higher than within Germany of course.

However, I would rather pick the components locally from Portugal, if you live there.
It will be easier if you need to contact the customer service.
Unfortunately, I do not know which online stores, you can trust in Portugal.
If you can not find any, those online stores in Germany will do.
Actually, any online stores within EU will do if you can not find any online shops locally in Portugal. This includes the amazon from Spain too.

If you can ship from the UK for the same price / cheaper then use this build
If you want this build to be cheaper then get a lower end case, like the 200r or the nzxt 220

+1; This is a great build for under 1200 Euros!
