Hello good people who always help me when I'm stupid.

I'm buying a new laptop in preparation for the fall term, and am quite undecided on what my needs are. I am buying this laptop almost exclusively for Google Docs and Presentations, Android app development, and C++ compiling. I do essentially nothing else on my laptop.

With that in mind, my laptop must be able to get me through a school day (9 AM to 3:30 PM) on a single charge. I am happy to keep it plugged in over night, charging speed is irrelevant. I am not happy to charge it in the middle of the day.
My main two contenders are the url=http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/ASUS-Zenbook-UX305FA-USM1-Signature-Edition-Laptop/productID.313303100]Asus Zenbook UX305FA - USM1 Signature Edition[/url] and the ASUS Zenbook UX303LA-US51T Signature Edition .
So my questions are as follows:

1) Will compiling on a 5Y10 be slow as a tranquilized turtle?
2) Will battery life on a 5200U with a QHD+ screen get me through 8 hours?
3) If your answer to number one was no, then how much of a difference will upgrading to 5200U make and will it and the higher-res screen justify the $200 price jump?

Thank you, as always,
/g

Will a 3 cell 50WHr battery be enough to power a laptop with those specs for any sustained period of time? 7 or 8 hours?
