I recently purchased an MSI GeForce GTX 960, I've installed it and everything seemed fine...
That was until I tried to start recording videos for YouTube again. Some games keep a good fps, but others drop from whatever they are to about the same value of 10-15.
Also, with my previous GPU (Refer to Computer Specs) I didn't have this problem!

Games tested:
Minecraft - LOW FPS
The Binding Of Isaac: Rebirth - LOW FPS
Life Is Strange - Smooth/High FPS
Terraria - Smooth/High FPS
The Long Dark - Smooth/High FPS

I've tested recording with Fraps and MSI Afterburner, both having the same results!

Computer Specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte F2A85XM-HD3
CPU: AMD A8-6600K APU with Radeon HD Graphics
Memory: 4GB Kingston HyperX 10 year anniversary edition
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1
Previous GPU (Part of APU): AMD Radeon HD 8570d
Graphics Card (New): MSI GeForce GTX 960

Connected to a T.V. by a HDMI cable, resolution of 1920 x 1080, refresh rate of 60Hz.

Could anyone shine some light on as to why or what is causing this?
I would greatly appreciate any help!

Solution
try recording with the Nvidia Shadowplay Utility; it uses the built in hardware to capture your gameplay with minimal use of your cpu, which is too weak to both play and record IMO.

Thanks a bunch popatim, I tried Nvidia Shadowplay Utility on the games that have been giving me a problem and now they work much better!
So other than a new cpu is there any other ways to improve this? Such as more memory?
