hello everyone ive heard this is a good place to ask and get help from.

anyways ive been looking for ages for a new gpu because mine isnt cutting at the moment (probably because its intergrated to my cpu i presume).

ive had my eye on the radeon R9 270x but it needs two 6-pin power connectors but i cant seem to find any when i look inside my pc?.

my mobo does have a PCI-E 3 slot but i dont know if i can power it.

my psu is 500w but i do not know the make and model.

any help would be great, if you need a full spec i am able to get that for you.

Regards

Jason

PCIE 6-pin looks like this. You'll need two of 'em.

If your mobo has a PCIE 3.0 slot then you should be just fine running the 270x in your computer (Make sure it fits!). However not all Power supplies are created equal. If you don't know the name of your PSU and it doesn't even have PCIE 6/8 pin connectors then I would recommend getting a new Power supply along with your graphics card. PSU is the one piece of hardware I would never recommend taking a risk on even if its a small one :)
