what memory should i buy?

my b85 g43 gaming msi only supports 1600 mhz im currently using the 1866 ram 8gb from my past build underclocked. im planning on buying a new pair but the g skill ripjaws 1866 is cheaper than 1600 which one should i get? and which CL should i get g skills have different CL's

Why are you waning to get new ram? If your board wont let you go over 1600Mhz there is no real reason to get new ram. I would manually set your ram to 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 timings.

There is zero harm in underclocking the ram.
Just get the same CL as the 1866 ram you currently have as you know that works.

Are you planning to mix the old with the new, if so not a good idea as there's no gurantee the sets will even play together, best to get a single set of the full amount, here in 2x8GB 1600 then sell the old , try and mix it, or put it in another rig

im going to buy new ram because its hard to find ram that pairs my old ones its kinda old version. so if im going to upgrade in the future i need a ram that can be easily get so i can pair them

I'd look for CL9 or better (lower), the GSkill Snipers and Ripjaws X would be good choices
