after installing gtx 970 i am unable to open boot menu in the motherboard screen on startup

i have a gigabyte Z77-d3h and after installing the 970 it takes about 2 minutes on the motherboard screen before startup and the bios setup and q-flash and boot menu keys are not responding. therefore i cant boot from the usb drive in order to install new windows and to format the old one

Then unplug the gtx 970 >.>

Are you seeing anything on the screen or is the bios just not running. You should also try unplugging and replugging the keyboard. Sometimes the pc doesnt detect it unless you do that.

but why cant i open the boot menu , the f12 is not responding . i cant open anything on the startup screen . the keyboard is working find and i was able to open the bios and boot menu before installing the gtx 970 .

i get the screen displaying the motherboard and telling me the keys to press to open bios or boot menu ,in this case the f12 should open the boot menu , when i press the key nothing happens and a few minutes later i get a black screen and if i didn't press f12 in a few minuter the pc will boot normally

okay, so i switch back to my old gtx 650 ti and was able to access the bios but why cant i access it with the gtx 970 installed? do i need to update bios ?
