Planning on Upgrading my GPU to MSI GTX 970 4G LE. Need answer ASAP

I'm currently trying to upgrade my PC so I can play games like Skyrim (heavily moded), Arma 3/ DayZ and GTA V at close to max setting at 60-40 fps.

My current GPU:
Galaxy GeForce GT 430

I know for sure I need a new Graphics card and I was thinking about getting MSI GTX 970 4G LE
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127841

Right now on Newegg its going for $299 and that deal ends today at midnight (Central Time for me).

My question is, is this GPU and good deal right now and I should buy it before the deal ends or wait it out for a better deal? Also,is it kind of overkill for what I am trying to achieve? If so is there another GPU I can buy that would be cheaper and will give me the results I am looking for?

Yes, it would be maxing out every game at 60FPS, depending what CPU you have of course. No there's no GPU that would give you the same results. Finally, that is an excellent deal. Buy it, now.

The 970 is the best GPU in performance per $ right now... (paired with the 390).

I know that there probably outdated and I will not be able to max out the settings just yet. Any recommendations for a new CPU and (if needed) a Mother Board

Yeah, for all other games, you would be maxing them out. For a cheap option, get the 970 first. Second, just go for a cheap i5 4460(or spend the extra 50$ for a K-series). For a mobo, you could get the H97M Asrock Anniversary motherboard(which is the one I have) or the Z97 Gaming 7 from Gigabyte. Either one of these CPUs or mobos will fit you well, you will max out even CPU-dependant games with this configuration.
