small question trying to figure out what would be better performance wise and it might not veen matter or be the same but i figure i ask
im maxing out my old gaming rig its a core 2 quad q9550 at 2.9 ghz with a corsair 750 watt psu
4 gb of ram and a gtx 570 gaming card with a 500 gb harddrive
anyways, my question is i plan on maxing out the ram on it which my system will handle up too 16gb of ddr3 ram PC3-12800 Unbuffered NON-ECC so on that note i can either buy in the fastest bus speed for what ever size ram which i think no matter the size four 4gb or 2 8gb ram sticks goes the same but would their be any gain even if only minute performance wise from maxing out with 4 of the same 4gb ram sticks or 2x8gb ram sticks cause it allows both and FYI the computer is used for mostly gaming

Your post is so scrambled that I couldn't really understand what you were trying to say, but maxing out the RAM amount is just fine and you need to check what frequency RAM your motherboard can handle.

Chances are that it won't run 1600Mhz. But 1333Mhz at maximum.
