Hi I getting a used gaming pc from a local friend. I just want to use it for gaming at 1080p. These are the specs i5 2400 CP

Solution
the first one has better gaming performance because of a better CPU and GPU setup. the second one has some interesting features like 16gb of ram, a fan controller and liquid cooler.

ideally you should build a new one that is better than either of these, but you could get the first one and stick an r7 270 for 140$ after rebate

The other option I have is 6 month old and the specs are as follow :AMD FX-6100 3.30GHz, 16GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, Blu-ray ROM/DVDRW, 2x AMD Radeon HD 7750 CrossFireX, Liquid Cooling, LCD Fan Control. This one is for $500.

Please help me decide which one would be better. I really appreciate your help.

Thanks, I was thinking to build a new one but I don't really want to spend to much for PC. Max I want to spend is $500.
I have one more concern about that pc as its 2 years old. How can I test if CPU and GPU are still good ?

Here is a way better build then what you are planning to get, all of the parts are on newegg or amazon except the operating system. If you can find a better deal on the operating system or have an old computer that you could switch to OS over to then you should do that.
