Specs: GatewayDX UB32P
64 bit
Intel Core i3 2120 @3.3ghz
PNY GeForce GTX 750
6 GB SDRR3
300w power supply

Do I need a certain kind for mine or will any ram brand work?

Solution
Not unless they've had a BIOS update to upgrade the amount supported, specs show 8GB as max here:

Are you wanting to replace your current memory, or just swap out the 2gb for a 4gb to upgrade to 8gb??

You want DDR3 1600 MHz ram (also called 12800).
Any set from Gskill, Crucial, Kingston, Corsair will work well.

Now if you are wanting to use 1 of your original sticks then it gets a little harder to try to ensure you have compatibility with the other stick. If possible it is best to get the same exact one, if not possible then the same speed, timings, and CAS Latency (may be labeled CL). This information should be on the stick of Ram
