Recent PC build here. I see folks having similar issues but I can't find a resolution. I am running Win8.1. I am having the issue where my ethernet cable is not registering in my newly built PC. It was working fine but now nothing. My modem checks out. Wireless is running fine. I used multiple ethernet cables. CMOS and drivers deleted and installed again. I connected the modem to our laptop. Everything runs fine until I plug in the ethernet to the PC. Please help!

My apologies on the confusion. I decided for the heck of it to get back into bios and reset the LAN. I disabled it. Saved changes and exited. Went back into bios and enabled the LAN once again. Once I did this, all connectivity was there. Very strange because I did this twice yesterday with no affect. Maybe I just forgot to save the changes? Either way a mobo suddenly deciding to not recognize the ethernet cable out of no where is disturbing to me. Thank you two for your help.
