Z97 or H97 for new i5-4590 cpu

Hi Everyone,

Just picked up a new CPU for my upgrade build. Need some recommendations on a solid good motherboard. I don't plan on overclocking at all and will not be running SLI at all either. Indecisive if I should go the H97 route or Z97. Suggestions anyone?

Z97 allows for over-clocking. H97 does not. Since over-clocking is a non-issue for you, go with whichever is cheaper (and still has all the other functionality you want).

I don't see a problem with any motherboard in this list. You can narrow it down further by selecting what else you need:

What form-factor motherboard do you need?
How many RAM slots do you need?
How many SATA 6.0 ports do you need?
How many USB 2.0 ports do you need?
How many USB 3.0 ports do you need?
How many PCI-Ex16/x1 slots do you need?

Once you figure out all that, pick the one you like best (cheapest or best rated).
