So i just bought both of these items from microcenter, get home and install them and at first i was having the on and off problem, got that figured out, then i finally get it to boot up windows and I go to play a game and its stuttery as hell and I can't even play anything.

System specs are;

ASrock z87 extreme 4
HyperX Fury series 16gb DDR3 1866
Intel i5-4690k
Gigabyte G1 Gaming Geforce GTX 970
Cooler Master GX2 750W

I'm at a loss for this one. I updated the BIOS to the one that supports the i5-4690k and it still dose it.

Yes the GPU works perfectly fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

My temps on all 4 cores sit right around 108-111 degrees Fahrenheit with this webpage open, and ARK: Survival Evolved open. Without ARK it sits around 80-90.

I have a Hyper 212 on it, with 1 fan.

I don't see hyperX on there, but it still comes up on my computer that its there. Would that really be cause this many issues?

On my AMD board and processor before i would get roughly 50-60 fps on ARK and most games on ultra, now i can't even get 20 fps on ark.

sometimes non-validated memory can cause problems. i don't know if it's related to the gaming issue, but you should try running your pc with a kit that's on the QVL and check if you still have the same problems.

edit: can you try running your pc with a different psu?

Right now I'm going to try with some other ram thats on that list and see what that does.

I can't try with another psu because the one i had before this one isn't powerful enough :p

Tried it with the different RAM, and its even worse. On the loading screen to the main menu I'm getting like 5 FPS, and its not just the game its the whole computer being choppy.

is this new kit on the QVL? have you reset the bios after installing the new kit?

are your gfx card drivers up to date?
