Hey,
I've got a problem/dilemma

Should I get an AMD FX 8350 with a GTX 970 or an I5 4590 with a GTX 960?
I know the answer, you Will say is the FX 8350 With GTX 970 but is it really worth it if I just Want an everyday PC such as browsing the internet and Movies and stuff like that but Gaming is a big part of the build too. Should I save a bit of the money if I just want to play every game at 60FPS and 1080p Max settings?

Plz Help!

Solution
Go with a cheaper i5-4460 and gtx 970 or just go with the 4590, since it's only a $30 difference between it and the fx-8350
There's a much bigger difference between the 960 and the 970 than any of the CPUs.
Actually what I'd say is go with the i5 and a 970GTX. Personally not a fan of AMD's FX series. They are incredibly hot.

The AMD faithful will hop up on their soapbox and scream that Haswell is hot too. That's correct, but Haswell has the VR (FIVR) on die. I can't imagine what would happen if AMD were to move the CPU VR on die. It'd probably melt the socket.

If gaming is the priority, the 970 GTX is the way to go. If you budget is constrained to the point that you can't afford the Intel platform, then I guess then and only then would I recommend the AMD route.

It was the fx 8350 with the gtx 970 or i5 with gtx 960

Yeah I know. I was just offering the most performance option. As I said, if you are budget constrained and gaming is your main / only priority, then I'd go with the 8350 / 970 option.

I agree to techgeek... currently im using a gtx 970 and a i5 4570(not a big difference of your 4590, its just 100MHz higher). Even though my entire rig is cool and im getting optimum performance on all gaming titles. If you use the amd card ,I strongly recommend you to go for a after marker cooler(preferable if you liquid cool it.) Otherwise the heat will circulate inside your rig and your gpu core temp also rises eventually affects overall performance.

Best Idea go for the 4590 and the 970....

Iam AMD fan but even i5 2xxxx kill FX8 in < DX12 game
