So I just finished building my first custom PC. I have a ASROCK H97M PRO4 motherboard, a EVGA Geforce GTX 960 graphics card, and a Spectre 22" LED HDMI Monitor. I have everything plugged in, my desktop turns on, all the fans work etc though when I plug my graphics card to my monitor with an hdmi cord it does not pop up. I've used my monitor before to play my xbox one as a test before I got all my parts. I also plugged my motherboard into the monitor and it worked fine popping up the reboot screen or whatever I have to do to fully setup my computer once I've finished building it though I've been trying to make it pop up while plugging it into my graphics card since people say I should plug my monitor to my graphics card. When I turn on my computer the graphics card's fans begin to move until it eventually comes to a full stop. I need help on how I can get this to work

Yes should change the primary graphics to PEG prior to Win Install, along with how you want the drives to run (AHCI), and if the DRAM is 1600 or better, enable XMP to set the sticks up properly. Might not be a bad idea if you have any techie type friends to have them help in the BIOS

I read the manual, doesn't say anything about BIOS menu or anything like that just tells me how to install gpu into pci slots

So should I just setup my computer with windows etc while plugging my monitor in to my motherboard and then go into the bios once I've finished setting it all up? Or just plug it into my mother board and instead of doing the whole setup crap just enter the bios and do it like that

You should configure the BIOS settings first. Like set the time. Disable / enable whatever settings you want to use / dont want to use

Since you have to change the bootdisk to usb or dvd. So you can install windows. And if you want to use AHCI you should enable it in the BIOS before you install windows, not after
