Hi all,
I am really new to this computer-pc world and largely unfamiliar with hardware specifics. I'm an avid gamer, mostly being on consoles and stuff. Lately, i've gotten really fed up with the performance on my consoles and want to upgrade to gaming on PC. i want to build my own gaming computer, so it will provide an ample learning experience as well. I just have a couple of questions that need some answering so I can understand some things.
I was looking at CPUs and was wanting to go with an intel i7-4790 processor. However, I was looking on an intel website-page that was comparing different CPUs and there was a category for graphics. Does that mean that there is a graphics card integrated in the CPU so I don't need to buy a separate graphics card? I also do not know much of the difference between integrated and dedicated gpus. I want to be able to play games in high-res and good fps rate.
Also, i'm really unclear on pretty much everything to do with motherboards. What type of motherboard should I go with that is good for gaming?
I know I have a lot to learn and may sound completely idiotic to most of you guys, but gotta start somewhere. Thanks
