Kingston HyperX Cloud II or Steelseries siberia V3 PRISM?

It's a great all round headset and includes 7.1 virtual surround. I personally find Steel Series to be overpriced ugly and OK sounding. Everyone raves about the Kingston and I personally know why.

For that price you could get a Roccat Kave XTD which is better and probably way more comfortable, though quite warm on the ears during long gaming sessions.

Sure, should sound fine

The Roccat KAVE XTD will trump them all followed by the HyperX Cloud 2. The cloud 2 and Roccat both feature on board DAC's so it doesn't matter about your onboard soundcard you only need a free USB slot.

The V3 Prism is not as good as the Cloud 2. With the prism you are paying for the lighting and branding that Steel Series offers. The Kingston HyperX Cloud 2 will be better for you at this price point. The USB DAC will mean there is no need for a good onboard sound card, I don't know too much about the prism but I know you will not be disappointed with the Cloud 2

I was also choosing between the siberia v3 and cloud 2, (upgrading my siberia headset, the first one), so i bought both and decided to turn back the one that I didn't prefer. In the end I choosed the siberia v3. I post this because i found no one, anywhere, actually testing them both and comparing, I hope this help those wondering.

Short version:
Siberia has better microphone
Siberia is lighter
Cloud 2 isolate sound better and feels more expensive
Cloud 2 has better sound when it comes to music and film
Cloud 2 has way to much treble to play some games (ak-47 in cs:go is unbearable)
Siberia has too much bass to get a precise sound in film and music
Siberia's bass make sounds in games more "epic" - think Michael Moore


More detailed and longer version:
Both headsets are very good and you won't be disappointed with either. When i decided which one to keep i looked at several factors. how comfortable it was, the sound, the microphone and the purpose of the headset.

The microphone was good on both headsets, the siberia has a more clear sound which is good, but can also be annoying for the one listening. My friend on skype told me that the Cloud 2 was more relaxing to hear, and was not as annoying as the high and clear sound of the siberia. He also told me that he could hear the sound of the game while my volume only were around 60% with the siberia. (You can hear the difference of the mic at youtube reviewers.)

Cloud 2 is a bit heavier and sturdier and isolate the sound alot better than the Siberia, which is made of plastic. Cloud 2 feels alot more expensive and it feels like it is of much more quality. Siberia on the other hand is lighter and you can barely feel it around the head, the light material and build makes the microphone pic up the sound of the headset which is not good.

The sound. Cloud 2 is able to put out around double the volume compared to the Siberia. Cloud 2 has a bit too much treble in my opinion. This makes music and film sound very beautiful and clear, the weapon sound in ARMA 3 and BF4 were also ALOT better on the Cloud 2(much more realistic). BUT. some sounds while gaming, such as birds and weapons in cs:go, and abilities in League of Legends were just way to high to the point that i had to play the games with around 30% volume.

Cloud 2 really shines in some aspects and fails at other while Siberia dont really have any advantages or disadvantages. I would pick cloud 2 over siberia any day of the week if my intention were to watch movies, listen to music and gaming. In my case, i only use a headset maximum 2h a day when i sitt up late and gaming. So i went with the 'meatier' sound and picked the Siberia. It was quite sad to turn back the Cloud 2 since they put siberia to shame, real shame, regarding music/movie, BF4 and ARAMA 3.

This is all just my opinon, i had both headsets for a week while switching the headsets back and forth to hear the difference.
