As the title says I'm just wondering if Asrock G41-VS3 is compatible with Nvidia GT 730 (1 GB DDR5 64-bit). The motherboard supports up to 4.0 pixel shader version and up to DirectX 10 but the GT 730 can handle DirectX 11 and has the 5.0 pixel shader version. So there are any chances for the components to work well together because I really don't wanna change both the motherboard and the GPU (I'm not very well endowed with money at the moment).

My actual PC specifications:
-Asrock G41-VS3
-Intel Celeron E3400 2.6 Ghz (overclocked to 3.12 Ghz)
-WinFast Nvidia GT 220
-Kingmax 4 GB RAM DDR3 1333 Mhz
-Barracuda 500 GB

Thank you in advance for all the upcoming answers!

"The motherboard supports up to 4.0 pixel shader version and up to DirectX 10"

Those specs refer to what the existing on-board (integrated) GPU supports. Installing a graphics card overrides that with what your chosen graphics card supports.

If you mean the ASRock G41M-VS3 (there is no G41-VS3 as far as I'm aware), it has one PCI-E x16 slot so, yes, the Geforce GT 730 is compatible.

Be aware that although the GT 730 supports DirectX 11, not all versions of Windows do.
You'll need Vista or later, in reality that means Windows 7 or later seeing as how the many bugs in Vista were never fixed completely (well they were eventually, but by that time it got a new name).

Yes G41M-VS3 sorry I have missed the M (I'm going to update it). Thank you for the competent and clear answer. I'm also very happy to hear this so what remains now is to order the GT 730 (Gainward version) ddr5. And I already have Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 on my computer so I think it will be all fine! And for a further upgrade of the CPU what do you recommend? Should I try an i3 or wait for a richer budget and give a try to an i5?
