Greetings. Is there a relationship between the resolution configured in a game and the temperature of a CPU? I had seen that whenever I put max resolution in a game, the CPU tends to rise the temperature of my CPU AMD FX-8320 Black Edition. My video card is a EVGA Geforce gtx 560 Black Edition. I will appreciate the answer to this question. Thanks in advance.

Not always. By increasing the load on the gpu to the point where the gpu is maxed out and the fps has dropped significantly the load on the CPU can drop as its waiting for the gpu to catch up.

But in simplest terms more load equals more work and therefore more heat. It just depends does the work fall on the CPU or gpu
