i am planning on getting a gtx 960 and wondering if a 300 watt power supply is enough for a gtx 960 which recommends a 400 watt power supply and if it can not can i simply get any power supply or a certain one right know im using a hp pavilion a600n with a radeon 5450 graphics card

Solution
What is the rest of your system? I really dobut that a HP 300W PSU can power up a gtx 960. Luckily, your PC uses a standar ATX PSU, so you can buy any ATX PSU to replace it, evga has some decent 500W units at $40 bucks.

thanks, is there any cpu u think runs nice with a gtx 960~ im asking because im just upgrading this pc i plan to build a pc next year.

FX-6300 is cheapest.
2nd choice would be i3-4160 but dual-core, even if with HyperTHreading, isn't exactly enough for most new games.
Something like GTA V will run easy 60 fps, but might have to lower down few graphics.
