so i just finished my very first pc build, i knew the bios part was not going to be easy, but this is stressful, i have no idea what i am doing and i've watch videos even read posts on this site, nothing is helping me and i honestly am ready to give up on it. So i guess my "problem" is even after i select my boot device, being my cd/dvd optimal, i still get the "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" even after i insert my windows disk and hit a key, it just repeats itself every time i hit a key. this is my first post so i'm not even sure i'm posting in the right area, i just need some help.

Solution
Yeah. 99% sure that's the issue. A CD drive cannot read the Windows DVD you have.
The rest of your system build looks... well, I'm getting 404 errors on MSI's web site for your motherboard.

Are you using the same SATA port as the previous CD drive?
Have you tried a different SATA port on the motherboard?
It's an old drive. Is it actually a SATA drive or is it IDE?
If it's IDE, is the jumper in back set to Master or Cable Select (and not slave)?
