EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB FTW ACX 2.0+ X2 SLI VS. EVGA GeForce GTX 980 +additional questions

So I have been planning out my build all day, and I had put 2 EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB FTW's in my build, and I was wondering, is it any more powerful than the nearest priced EVGA brand GTX 980?
(basically I want to get the most performance with $500)

In addition, I have also had difficulty figuring out what type of case to go aesthetically with my motherboard of choice, the ASRock Z97X Killer/3.1 ATX. I also want to get my first hands on experience with extensive liquid cooling, and recommendations for that as well. primarily i'm looking for something cost effective, quiet and efficient while still allowing it to be flashy

well its yes a better deal in my computer right now i have 1 evga 4g ftw witch is the best 960 on the market so far and yes it will be better then just 1 980 but if u buy one 980 you can always buy another one so think to yourself i mean im fine with my 1 960 build so you should have no problem running what you want to run on all high so far i l.ove my 960 ftw and i do plan to have 2 like yourself and 2x 960s are better then 1x 980

now for your case i suggest a corsair case here are some links

and a mid tower should be fine for what you need i still use my mid tower...
