I bought a Sapphire R9 280x Vapor-X on newegg, put it in today, and I can't get any output. I have it hooked up with 8 and 6 pin PCI-E connectors. It lights up and the fans work, but the monitor stays blank. I hooked up my HD 7850 and that works fine.

I read some stuff about "flashing the bios" and UEFI vs. legacy mode, but have no clue what that means. I know the card has a glowing button on it that you can push which apparently has something to do with UEFI, I tried that in both modes and still nothing.

My motherboard is a Biostar ta870u3+

I probably will if nobody here has any ideas.

I think I may have just figured something out...so the GPU has two 8 pin connector ports. On the sticker for the packaging, it says "connector options" and one of the options listed is "1x 8-pin + 1x 6-pin". I read this as meaning that I could get by using an 8 pin and a 6 pin, but if the card has two 8 pin ports, does that mean I need to use two 8 pins? I guess it's possible the sticker just means that the card might have an 8 pin and 6 pin port.

My PSU doesn't have two 8 pins so I guess I'd have to upgrade if that's the case.
