Hey, guys.

I am looking for a new graphics card because the one I have now is over 7 years old and the games today require a much better one than what I have. It's the Geforce GTS 450. It came with a computer that I bought back in 2008. I'm looking for a graphics card that's preferably under $300. I hear Blade and Soul will be coming out soon in the Winter and I want to be able to run it on max settings on a 1080 monitor. I mostly play MMORPGs, and MOBAS. I know I probably won't need a really high end graphics card to play those games but if I do want to switch genres, I don't want to spend another $300+ to play it. So what I'm saying is I want a graphics card that can run most MMORPGS on max setting and is powerful enough to run high graphics demanding games like GTA 5 if I ever do switch genres. I did some research and I found that the R9 280x will be perfect for me but I believe my power supply is too weak for that card. I don't want to spend an extra $100 or so for a new power supply. I might as well buy a gtx 970. Oh and do you guys think I should wait for Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales to buy a graphics card? I'm not in a hurry to buy one since BnS won't come out until near the end of the year. I want to know if the sales will drop the price significantly or not.

Here's my build:
- Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
- AMD FX-6300 (3.5ghz) It's not overclocked yet, I'm waiting on a better cooler to do it because all I have is the stock cooler that came with it.
- Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (2x4gb) 1600 Mhz DDR3 Ram
- MSI Gaming 970 M.B.
- Nvidia Geforce GTS 450
- 7200 RPM HDD. 2TB
- Cooler Master 550w power supply
- ASUS VH238H 23 Inch monitor

Solution
Problem solved, and this Seasonic built unit is a MUCH better power supply than that 550w Cooler master which I wouldn't recommend for use with any high end graphics card anyhow.
