Hi everyone. Could do with some help!

I have recently re-thought my home server setup and have started from scratch.

I have purchased three 6Gb/s SSHD (hybrid) drives which I have just configured in RAID5 using a HP P410 controller with 512k cache and battery backup.

The controller and the drives are both 6Gb/s rated, but all three drives' info page in HP SSA are shown as 3Gb/s speed?

I am wondering if it has something to do with the N40L's built in SAS tray where the drives are mounted, being that it was designed for 3Gb/s speeds?

Any ideas anyone?

Yea if you are using the SAS Trays that convert the SATA to SAS drives that can be what is going on.

But honestly unless you are using SSD's don't worry, those hard drives won't even be able to max out a 3Gb connection.

Also why SSHD? Hostly in any kind of RAID situation i would see these guys as pointless. I could even see it having issues but then again I have never heard nor seen anyone using SSHD's in RAID before.
