Should I pre-order this GPU?

Thanks for the reply. I would get the GTX 970 but it's out of my budget ($400+ in Canada). That leaves me with the 960, but from the benchmarks I've seen, the 380 outperforms it despite being a rebrand. Plus the 380 has 4GB :)

The only card in my budget from Nvidia is the 960, but doesn't the 380 outperform it despite being rebranded?

Gtx 960 is better than r9 380 have a look at this http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php?gid=2436&gid2=2266&compare=geforce-gtx-960-2gb-vs-radeon-r9-380 GTX 960 is 5% faster and its nvidia. R9 380 just came out i cant guarantee that it work excellent there arent many reviews though. Go ahead for gtx 960 its an awesome card and it will play ultra no worries ;)

from what i remember they are pretty close, im not a huge fan of amd and what they do, so personally id go for the gtx 960, but thats just an opinion based on my personal preference. If you are comfortable with the 380 then definately go for it. It is more than capable

You can buy gtx960 4gb too. If you compare gtx960 2gb with r9 380 4gb then get r9 if you compare gtx960 4gb and r9 380 4gb then get gtx 960

The link you posted actually shows the 380 being 5% faster and the writer goes into detail why the 380 is superior.

On almost every benchmark, the 380 is quite a bit faster though... On Tom's Hardware's benchmark, the 380 wins in every game.

I'm an Nvidia guy but the 380 seems like a better bang for my buck :/ Although it does need better drivers and optimization in games.
