2 gtx 780 ti vs 1 gtx 980 ti

so i have 2 asus gtx 780 ti i am thinking of selling them and upgrading to 1 gtx 980 ti so my question is what will be better at the moment is it worth trading the 2 cards for the 1 will a gain any think?

You will win fps benchmarks with GTX780ti SLI, but will have some gameplay issues.
Some games do not support dual cards well or even at all.
You will avoid stuttering and tearing issues.
At the same price, I would pick the GTX980ti hands down. It will handle a 4k monitor decently.

My suggestion is to buy your 1440P monitor and see how you do.

OTOH, 2 used GTX780ti cards sold on ebay will get you most of the way to a new GTX980ti.

im running 1080p but i would like to go to 1440p at some point, so at 1080p tho for now witch would u take if u had to pick 2 780 ti or the 1 980 ti

Go with the 980 ti because the 980 ti will give you similar performance to 2x 780t' s with an OC Plus the benefits of a single card solution.
