which is a better mobo for HD gaming 720p or 1080p and still running smoothly? (resident evil 6, the sims 3/4, farcry)

processor: intel core i5-4590
video card: asus gtx 750 ti
PSU: antec vp550p 550watts
ram: 2x4gb kingston hyperx blu
chassis: raidmax super viper red usb3.0

are they all compatible to each other? will they maximize their purpose? i need your honest and expert opinion gents. Thank you

Solution
B85 is outdated. You should go with the H97 and get the one without the M if you can. The M means it is a micro board and generally performs worse than the non M.

What is your budget? I know I can make this build better. Do you need a HDD?

HDD would be WD 1TB blue, by the way, im planning to change my cpu to i5-4460 for me to get a more powerful gpu. what gpu can you suggest that's compatible with i5-4460? and my top mobo now are gigabyte ga-h97m-d3h, asus h97m-e and asrock h97 anniversary? or if you could suggest a more compatible mobo and gpu with i5-4460. Thanks so much!

Best bet:
You can change the case to whatever you want. This build gives some better quality parts and leaves room for upgrades.
