My newly built computer isn't working

I had brought my newly built computer home on Thursday and it was working flawlessly and I shut it down and unplugged the power cord only to plug it in again 2 days later and it won't turn on. My teacher is in sugarland and I don't want to have my mom drive an hour to get there. The power switch is set on 1 and I have an A88XM-E asus mother board. I'm new to this so please explain in very simple terms!

does it not turn on at all? or does it turn on then quickly turn off(also do the fans spin)? is the CPU properly installed? make sure to align the triangle on the CPU with the one on the motherboard.
