Hi,

I just recently updated my build from a:

MSI P55M GD-45
i7 860
GTX970

...to:

MSI Z97 Gaming 5
i7 4790k
GTX970

And I'm experiencing some issues. First of all, the old motherboard tolerated 2x4GB, 2x2GB ram at the same time, but this one doesn't seem to. The system will not POST when all 4 RAM are in. That's perfectly fine, I switched to just 2x4GB. All of the RAM is DDR3 1600 dual channels.

However, I've been experiencing crashes now after reinstalling OS and everything. Sometimes my display driver is crashing, even when I'm not gaming. This never happened on my old build. In addition, I've experienced a BSOD while gaming, and my system also locked up and kinda just froze once while gaming. I've gone a day or two without it happening, but I've also had it happen twice in one day. The system runs perfectly fine while gaming or not until this happens, doing 120FPS on multiple different games (pushing GPU usage to 99%). This is the BSOD:

Any ideas of what the issue is? Is my video card going bad or something else? Highest I've seen my CPU temp is around 64C, and my GPU stays around 50-60C while gaming.

Well I didn't mean to mark the solution...

It was my PSU from my old build, 750W XFX, I just got it one a month or two ago because my old one was dying.

I did not update BIOS or mobo drivers, would that help?

Yes, it was a clean install of the OS.
