Dear Technicians,

I have a 2 year old PC which is full of malware and I would like to reinstall the operating system. So I want to buy new windows 7 CD. However I didn't put my pc together and I have these fans attached to the processor and other fans inside the rig. I am worried that If I reinstall my operating system the fans and other stuff won't work without knowing what and where to activate. Also I had my CPU overclocked which I really do not need (3.5 to 4.5) because I am trying to stream and my PC crashes every time. Will my CPU go back to normal after windows reinstall and will my hardware work as long as I download all the needed drivers?

Many thanks in advance!

Even though I do not know your hardware configurations and models, and current OS, I still recommend to not over clock your CPU.
Also windows 10 is on the way, why to buy 7?

Just by changing your OS, nothing change on the hardware. Your fans will still run normal, you need not to worry. Only make sure you PC is clean, fans are out of DUST, RAMs are properly attached. Your CPU setting will not change unless you change them from your BIOS settings.

What are you streaming, is it online streaming? that may not cause your pc crashed.

Right after clean installation of OS, install a strong antivirus such as Kaspersky etc.. then first of all, scan the whole drive and clean all infections. Then only start installing drivers, software and applications.

For starters thank you for a reply! I am streaming CSGO (Counter strike global offensive) and the PC just crashes after 10 minutes or so. I have 100mpbs download speed, 6 mpbs upload speed, internet. 3.5ghz processor i7 (Overclocked to 4.5). 6gb video card AMD 7990 and 16gb of RAM (8x2) 2133mhz. As well as all this I have an AverMedia Online gamer HD capture card which should take stress of the CPU, but PC still crashes... It freezes and the sound that was playing last goes on repeat. I will reset the bios right now to default and reinstall my OS. Then I will purchase Kaspersky as well as you recommended! I will need to do full scan right? Can my drive still be infected even after reinstalling completely new OS?

Thanks so much, you saved me so much time as I looked up some info about this and I'm glad I am resetting the settings first!
