best monitor for 980 ti

Is a 4k monitor worth it if u have a 980 ti? Or just buy a 1440p monitor ? Maybe 4k will be too much for a single 980 ti after 1 or 2 years ....
i have one example for each type:

4k monitor costs about 100 euros more.

that monitor is not 1440p. The 980ti can handle 4k gaming. but in a year or 2 games will struggle to run well with high detail on it. I would personally go with a 1440p monitor as there isn't a huge difference when you are focused on a game. but you can always lower the resolution on a 4k monitor to 1440p if it gets too demanding.

1440p has a resolution of 2560 x 1440. You listed one 4K monitor and one 2560 x 1080.

I have a 980 Ti I just bought for my 32" Samsung 2560 x 1440 monitor. I expect it to be able to max most every game for the next few years. There are still quite a few games that can't be run ( at max settings ) on any single card at 4K. It's just too demanding.
