Hi everyone
I have ditched my satellite TV service, as it was costing me $70 a month (I live in South Africa, nothing is cheap here), in favour of streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, using a VPN, which works out at about $20 total.
But now I have a PVR with some unwatched content on a 500 GB drive, but naturally, the content is encrypted. Now, I have tried using Linux to read it, but to no avail.
On the back of the PVR it says "Secured by irdeto"
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance

These sort of encryption schemes are designed to protect material against copyright pirates who are prepared to throw serious resources at them to break the encryption. If they didn't work the copyright owners wouldn't bother to use thm. You haven't a snowball's chance in hell of cracking the encryption.
