My CPU temperature reach 100c. is it a misread or true ?

hello guys. i just reinstalling my CPU tower heatsink. i am using cooler master x6. and my CPU is amd a8 6600k. but when i check on BIOS and HWmonitor, it reach 80c and above. i don't know what's wrong with it. is it because i am using cheap thermal paste ? or the system reads my temperature wrong ? please help. thank you.

Edit: just realized you have an APU,

Please use AMD OverDrive to get accurate temps. Other programs like HWMonitor can give incorrect temps

Or - read it from the bios itself. Usually in the bios configuration you can see the voltages and temps - those are accurate.
