Helo, going to build my first pc ever.

The pc going to be for everything, hopefully last a long time, i definitely will do some gaming with this. No overclocking for now.

Yes so i have narrowed down to these 2 and both of them have same price in my country.

Im leaning a bit towards ud5h because it has 6x usb 3.0 at the rear vs only 4 in ranger.
But asus bios setup looks quite easy ( i never setup any bios before) and there are many reviews about maximus board in youtube compare to gigabyte.

Which one i should pick?
For reference:

ud5h http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4978#ov
ranger https://www.asus.com/sg/ROG_ROG/MAXIMUS_VII_RANGER/overview/

Thanks guys.

id say go for a 780 gpu and cheaper mobo. but thats up to you really.

As for the gigabyte, ya the black edition is great and the extra 2 3.0 would come in handy if you have lost of things to connect. just remember you also have room for more usb on the case too.

look into things like how many 4 pin fans can be connected, type of audio too. but it is okay to choose the gigabyte because of the extra 3.0.

such high end mobos, hope you other parts are high end too. think most ppl go for Asus as a solid brand.

mind posting your parts, since you might be able to get a better CPU or graphic card and go for a cheaper mobo with the specs you actually need to use.

Thx for fast reply. cpu would be i5 4690k, gpu is gtx970 strix.
Maybe down the road i would upgrade the cpu, bt for now many said this would suffice.

Yes i know this mobo is a bit overkill for me, but after some research i made up my mind to narrow to these 2.

Just wonder if its ok to choose gigabyte based on +2 usb 3.0 on rear side.

I have checked, asus got 3x fan connector vs gigabyte got 4xfan connector.

This might seem novice question, but I wonder, does that mean with asus i only can install 3 fan inside my case, as in 2x front 1xrear? What if i add 2 more fans on the top, where i can insert the pin on the mobo?

you can connect the rest to the power supply or buy a split 4 pin cable to install more fans or even buy a fan controller. the 4 pins on the motherboard means that you can control fan speed using software or let the motherboard change speed automatically like on the CPU, faster when CPU heats up.
