Mouse sensitivity too high in a lot of games

Hello, I've had a G502 for a few months now and it's great, but I've been having a problem in a fair amount of games, that being the sensitivity is too high.

I'm running at 800 DPI (dropped from 1200 because at 1200, every games sensitivity is too high) with the windows setting at 1 over the default, as it is a bit too slow at the default.

I'm going to start Skyrim but like games such as Borderlands, Dead Island and the Fallout's, the sensitivity is way too high even on the lowest setting. I was under the impression that most people's mice ran at around 800 to 1200 DPI, so I'm unsure why I'm constantly having games with too high of a sensitivity.

Any help?

yes, as makken said. if you're running on windows you could change the mouse sensitivity from control panel>mouse.
for common people like me, high DPI mouse is only necessary when im using a very high resolution(multi panel display) so i dont have to slide my mose across the table just to get the pointer to the other side of my desktop display.

I put the windows sensitivity to the lowest but Skyrim seems to bypass those settings, so I put my DPI to 400 but it is still slightly too high on the lowest in game sensitivity.

I have my DPI button turned off as I use it for a few games for skills etc. If I have to I'll just re map it, but it's a bit annoying.

1920 x 1080. I managed to change it in the prefs.ini to be what I wanted. I start a new game, cutseen at the beginning shows the sensitivity as it should then once that ended it went back to being too fast.
