Me and my dad do a lot of video editing so he told me to get a nas for both of us. So we chould back up all our stuff and keep it in the garage in case of a fire. I am really in depth with pc's so don't be shy to use pc language. my question is if I conect my cat 6 Ethernet cable to the router then will 2 pc's be allowed to Conect with it and get good right speeds. My pc is connected to the router my Ethernet but my dad is not how wil I configure it so that it can take 2 sets of information at once and is that possable

Thanks!

Nas type WD EX4

Can your dad also plug in using ethernet? that would be the fastest/best method.

Simply by him being connected to the same router he should instantly be able to access to NAS interface with its internal address.

Transferring data could be bottlenecked by the speed of the ethernet ports of your router or by the HDD's in your NAS, especially if both of you are accessing the NAS at the same time.
You don't need to do anything. NAS is designed to be multi-user accessible. NAS is just a dedicated file server without the other stuff. Thruput should be fine if this is an honest-to-God NAS, and not a USB port in the back of the WIFI router. You can access via either ethernet or WIFI, of course WIFI will be reduced speed.
