Is it possible to buy a new hard drive (that is the same made and model as my current one) and RAID0 it with my current one that already has data on it without backing up the old data and formatting the drive? My current one is nearly full.

Thanks,
Miles.

No. The RAID 0 will require a full wipe, then create the RAID array, then whatever data you put on it.
You can't just extend that out to a new drive.

Why a RAID 0? Mostly useless and dangerous in a regular desktop environment.
Just put the new drive in as another drive letter.

Why do you want to create a RAID system? Just install the new drive and and you should be good to go. RAID only works well in a server scenario, not a single system setup. You might gain a little performance, but at the cost of doubling the risk of losing your data from a drive failure.

I didn't know that was possible. Thanks. I'll go with that.
