Looking to build a gaming PC. I want to be able to upgrade parts in the future.
Aiming mostly for good FPS(40+)
I already have:
- Mouse
- Keyboard
- Monitor
- Speakers
- Windows 7 64x Bit (I might upgrade to Windows 10 at a later date)

If there is anything I forgot or anything else you need to know, please ask!

This will be pretty good 1080p performer. You can expect 40+ fps at high\ultra settings in most AAA games.

Solution
with an i5+r9-290 you will comfortably get 60fps in almost every game maxed out at 1080p. there are only a handful of games like crysis 3 or the witcher 3 that will need a few settings bumped down to high or medium to hold 60fps. otherwise i would wait 2 more months for skylake to be released which will be on a new socket and give you much better upgrade-ability in the future.

I agree, now is a good time to wait and see what happens.
