My built PC just turned 3 years old this month and has been giving me problems lately, nothing runs smooth anymore but looking to build an upper midrange gaming PC that can last me 3-4 years. Was wondering if these specs are good or if there is anything better performance and price wise.

here is what i would get in that price range.

But if you want to keep your current config here are some minor changes that i would definitely make.

the power supply you had was really bad, The supernova GS fully modular 80+ gold is better and the same price.

you may want an r9 390 rather than a gtx 970, just a thought

also consider getting a 1tb hdd as 250gb is pretty small.
