Wireless Connection Issue After Power Outage

Hi all.

Have Time Warner internet service. Arris wireless router. Currently have multiple computers connected wirelessly, and one with a LAN cable. Also have an ATT microcell signal booster attached via LAN cable. All were working properly and smoothly.

A couple days ago, we had an unexpected power outage. Lasted only a couple minutes. Went to turn computers back on and all was well. All of the Windows 8 machines resumed proper operation (including internet connection), as did the microcell.

One machine, which runs Windows 7 and using an ASUS USB-N10, would not connect to the internet. It could "see" the network, and tried to log in, but I continually go the Yellow triangle/exclamation point. Used the "troubleshooter," and it continually tried to reset the network adapter, but failed.

So I swapped out the Asus for a new TP-Link TL-WN725N. Installed that with no issues, and it too "sees" the network, but cannot connect to the internet. Exact same set of issues.

I've restarted the modem several times, of course restarted the computer over and over, and have done what I could regarding IV4 settings, etc. Nothing I do seems to help. And again, all other computers/phones/tablets/etc. have no trouble connecting to the internet wirelessly.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Hey metsno1. Could you follow these steps please:
1. Press "Windows + R" at the same time
2. Enter "control wuaucpl.cpl" (without speech marks) followed by enter
3. Select "Scan for Updates"
4. Install all updates including optional ones

5. Restart your PC into the normal desktop

6. Restart your PC into Safe Mode

7. Press "Windows + X" at the same time
8. Select “Command Prompt (Admin)
11. Enter "sfc /scannow" (without the speech marks) into Command Prompt followed by enter
12. Let the scan complete

Let me know how this goes.
