I need help bad.

I have a Asus M5A78L-M/Usb3 Motherboard and a evga 650 ti boost graphics card. I want to run my audio through my motherboard. But the spdif isn't showing up on my playback device menu. Just hdmi. How do I fix this. It use to work but I wasn't the one who set it up. I have windows 7 64 bit to if that helps at all. When It worked b4 on my receiver it was coming out as pcm audio. If you need to know any other spec let me know.

Try reinstalling your sound drivers from the mobos website.

If the system cannot detect it then there might be a issue with the mobo. I think you might have a issue with the motherboard and you should contact ASUS and RMA it.

Just to check, did you uninstall the original drivers first? There might be some kind of conflict if the drivers have corrupted, causing the OS to be confused about what audio hardware it has.

I figured it out. I went into the bios and the internal audio was disabled so I turned it back on now I have the HD vdeck and spdif. Thanks for all your help guys.
