I have been building a computer and have managed to get it to "boot" up but I ran into a problem. When I boot up I have no access to my keyboard and can't open any BIOS menus or anything. The computer monitor when it boots up is blank for a couple of minutes and then it shows a underscore blinking in the top left corner of the screen, then it shows the motherboard screen (shows msi in big letters). During this one short beep plays meaning either: dram refresh failure or everything is going fine. After that it goes through 2-3 stages of the blinking underscore in the corner with the screen flashing in between underscores. Then it goes to a boot up screen that reads: "press any key to open boot menu" but nothing works on the key board. Then it locks into a screen that says: "no bootable device found, press any key to restart" but I can't use the keyboard so I just have to manually restart the computer.

Here are my specs:

AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition

MSI Socket AM3+/AMD 760G/DDR3/CrossFireX/SATA3 and USB 3.0/A&GbE/MicroATX Motherboard 760GMA-P34 (FX)

ASUS GeForce GTX 750Ti GDDR5 2GB Graphics Card GTX750TI-OC-2GD5

Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB Single DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL9 @1.5V UDIMM 240-Pin Memory Module BLS4G3D1609DS1S00

Seagate Barracuda 250 GB 7200 RPM SATA 3Gb/s 8MB Cache 3.5 Inch Internal Hard Drive ST3250318AS-Bare Drive

Rosewill Dual Fans MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case FBM-01

Antec VP-450 450 Watt Energy Star Certified Power Supply

The problem is not the RAM because I took that out and I was getting a different beep code (3 long beeps)

Any help will be appreciated :)
Thanks for your time!

the one beep is normal and the screen your getting is normal post. if your keyboard is wireless it wont turn on in time to get into the bios. see if anyone in the house has a hard wired keyboard. the other way is boot the windows boot cd in the drive see if the system boots from it and your keyboard works there. then install windows and then msi boot to bios windows tool and boot to the bios. the last is clearing the cmos see if your keyboard will work to get into the bios. if it a usb keyboard make sure it on the black usb 2.0 ports.

I think I reset the CMOS (I just inserted the jumper in and pulled it out with the computer off and unplugged), and now I am getting 3 very short beeps around half way through the boot up process and then the screen goes blank. Up until that point there has been only one beep. But when I reboot again it does the same stuff that I explained in the first post. My keyboard still doesn't work.
