Assuming they are 5.25" optical drive, then yes you can take one out and use it in another pc.

Is that really the standard? Because I thought that size was smaller than the standard. This brings up a question. I have an old windows xp dell with two optical drives that I don't really use anymore, for obvious reasons... Could I just disconnect one of those drives and use it in with my new PC rather than buying another one?
