Contradicting my last thread, I would like to know whether to get a WD Blue 1TB or WD Black 1TB for saving my Fraps/Dxtory files to.

I'm using this build and will add the extra HDD once I find out which I should choose - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cQLFxr (In case you're wondering, I'm using the SSD for OS/Programs and software, and the HDD for games/storage. That means I need one more for recording footage).

Any reply is helpful.

Hey there, Davcoll!

Good job on your rig! I'd recommend you to consider the WD Black for the gameplay recording and footage rather than the Blue. Though the 1 TB versions of both drives overlap in specs, the WD Black is designed to deliver performance and speed for your demanding software apps. You can check The WD Blue specs here: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=H9a35C
However, the WD Black offers more capacity varieties as well a 5-year limited warranty. It is FIT-tested and has enhanced features that should maximize your system performance. Here's a link to the product page of the WD Black as well, where you will find all its features: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=FDaAWW

Hope this helps. :) Keep me posted...

Thank you for the reply. I'm still conflicted, I think I'll just wait a while and see what other responses I get. If I don't get any, I'll probably just get the Black considering it's only an extra $20 and I don't have to worry about any of my ignorant restraints.
